BOD TREASURER

Brett is currently an instructor for Everett Community College and Western Washington University. He is passionate about helping organizations and institutions with developing policies and procedures founded in cultural awareness and diversity, fostering a sense of belonging for all stakeholders.

FOUNDER / CO-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Jennifer has been a Counselor/Case Manager for individuals with physical and mental health diagnoses since 1996. She holds an MA in Rehabilitation Counseling and is an LMHC in Washington State. She holds CVE, CRC, and CDMS certifications. She has diverse interests, particularly in helping individuals explore their cultures and building communities that thrive from the unique characteristics of all.

FOUNDER

Dr. Brickham taught at Western Washington University for the Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling Program (CACREP Accredited). She completed her PhD in Rehabilitation Psychology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and has been a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor for 18 years, Licensed Professional Counselor for 9 years (WI), and is newly licensed as a Psychologist (WA). She is the Associate Clinical Professor at Seattle University and her passion involves supporting and collaborating with students on their educational journey to become counselors.

GRANT WRITER

Monica is fortunate to have participated and led many discussions on social equity and seeks out opportunities to promote DEI at the organizational level. She is currently a student at The Evergreen State College. She has been part of The CHEC Center since 2022. She is passionate about climate justice and the health of our global community.

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

BOD MEMBER-AT-LARGE

Winter is currently a graduate student in the Rehabilitation Counseling program at Western Washington University. For their internship, they are working as a mental health counselor, specializing in the LGBTQ+ community. They have been part of The CHEC Center since 2023.

SOCIAL MEDIA & MARKETING COORDINATOR

Lizzie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate and an experienced and nationally accredited Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. She has professional experience working with neurodiverse children and adults, adolescents, individuals of the LGBTQIA+ community, injured workers, and BIPOC community. She has been part of The CHEC Center since 2023.

DEVELOPMENT RESEARCHER

Edith has professional experience in a myriad of environments, including event planning, the medical field, and human resources. She is a fervent advocate for the Latino/Latina community, particularly those who are first generation in the United States. She has been part of The CHEC Center since 2022.
